LOCO DAYS in Stengade - three standard bearing days - part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival Jazz Club Loco

Throw down the gauntlet and open the floodgates for jazz rebels and off-beat aficionados. Loco Days take place in the resurrected rock 'n' roll stronghold of Stengade.

Spillemændene - This sensational band features one of the most surprising voices on the Danish music scene. Den Fjerde Væg – XTC morphs with Animal Collective in a very Danish way. Stefan Pasborg & Rune Kjeldsen meet Hvad (aka Kid Kishore) - Anarchist DJ clashes with top notch jazz drummer and guitarist.

Orquesta Libre (JP) – Ten Japanese neo jazzers take it out on Ennio Morricone, Burt Bacharach and Kurt Weill. Selvhenter - Absolutely uncompromising all-girl-quartet with the trombone as their sophisticated 'murder weapon'. Vand•Pi•Stol feat. J-Spliff /Paulo/Verb Inc/Khaleren – jazzy hip hop and boom bap rap.

Fjernsyn Fjernsyn – intense energy, massive noise, heavy improvisation. Hamadcha Sufi Tariqa of Essaouira (MA) – mystics and sufi masters of the Moroccan desert. Eggs Laid By Tigers – This remarkable band has turned the poetry of Dylan Thomas into a cycle of very original and beautiful songs.

Admission is 100 dkk per night.
